Startiomy singulator (actually, any Stratiomys is heavily underrepresented here)

Ok, thanks Martin. You should definately try with soldier flies (Stratiomyidae) this season. I did it once after a researcher asked for records and found 5 species that year (all of them firsts for me). So it is easily doable, they are just so overlooked.
It's not possible to know. I don't know if specialists see every fly observation and identify it to higher levels. So maybe there are some fly observations which are ided as "diptera" that could be soldier flies? No idea - and didn't check.
Ya, but that could be also the case for most of the other suggested species, or not? I mean, Drosophila simulans is probably a though call for most people, as is Pionosomus varius or the moss.
Congrats for your find btw. Next step is a picture of the species itself ;-)
I just uploaded a beetle that has only this one record in Germany and only 5 records in total on iNaturalist. I don´t think it is sooo super seldom, if you know where to look, and it is not too hard to identify due to its distinctive pattern. However, it is only active in the winter season around oak trees and quizte small, which could be the reason for the poor reporting. I talk about Phloiophilus edwardsii. Could be interesting to specifically look for it?
Punkt 1: @martingrimm Ich kann es kaum erwarten, im Frühjahr in die nahen Buchenwälder zu gehen und nach Zimmermannia zu suchen. Hab von dieser Art noch nie gehört und find es total faszinierend dass es einen solchen Minierer gibt. Danke für's drauf aufmerksam machen!
Punkt 2: Falls die Bestimmung passt, habe ich die erste Cacopsylla crataegi auf iNat gemeldet. Sollte anhand der Flügelmale ganz gut zu erkennen sein, und ist wohl nicht so selten. Hab sie an einer Hauswand gefunden, aber eine Suche in der Nähe von Weißdorn könnte generell lohnenswert sein
(Zwischenpunkt): habe erst jetzt gemerkt dass ich auf deutsch schreibe, ich lass das aber jetzt so :-)
Punkt 3: Das Foto von Alexis' Ameisengrille wird bei mir im Journalpost nicht mehr angezeigt. Bei euch?
Punkt 4: @alexis_orion, @jakob, @mobbini wollte ich eigentlich erst in 1-2 Monaten ansprechen, aber da es ja keine City Nature Challenge 2020 in D gibt (was ich sehr schade finde) - die Anmeldung für 2021 ist bereits möglich. Berlin, Braunschweig, Brandenburg, Leipzig,... am Start? In Österreich sind immerhin 3 Städte dabei 💪🏼
Punkt 5: darauf Bezug nehmend - was soll das denn bitte? Das ist doch Irreführung! Kennt jemand dieses 'Freilandlabor'? Scheinen sich zudem super mit Vogelbestimmung auszukennen (--> Bildunterschrift!)

Punkt 4: ich finde es auch schade das es dieses jahr in Deutschland keine City Nature Challenge gibt, aber ich wollte bald die NABU oder eine andere ähnliche organisation kontaktieren, ob die in 2021 in Berlin mitorganisieren würden.
Punkt 5: der "Mäusebussard" sieht irgendwie aus wie ein Habicht ;)
zu Punkt 3: bei mir wird das Bild auch nicht mehr angezeigt (Firefox 73.0) ... auch das Bild in den Kommentaren nicht. @ajott welchen Browser nutzt Du?
zu Punkt 2: mit einem so spezifischen Pflanzennamen getauft, sollte Cacopsylla crataegi nicht nur eine Beobachtung hier haben. Ich hab sie mal mit in die Liste aufgenommen :-)

Are they all IDed correctly on iNaturalist? Maybe there are some without ID...

Sure, that is a case for many difficult or rare species...
