Because of you, this year we have kept our title for MOST OBSERVATIONS & SPECIES IN EUROPE for City Nature Challenge 2019!!

As one of the smaller regions out of the 185 cities taking place, we have done brilliantly to put ourselves on the global map for wildlife conservation.

We hope taking part in City Nature Challenge has inspired you to keep on noticing nature and recording! Come and see us at the Festival of Nature in June where we'll be sharing more news from the Challenge.

We're writing this over a lot of boxes of pizza as we are keeping our volunteers fed and watered....it has been amazing 3rd day and we have set ourselves a BIG target.....can we get to 10,000?!?!

We smashed 2,000 observations yesterday - nice work! 💪
But can we do better today? Can we get (dare I say it) 2,500 observations today..?

There are weather warnings for wind across the region today, so make sure you stay safe while out and about. Take a friend with you on your data missions, not only will you have each others backs but you will get double the recordings 😉

City Nature Challenge 2019 is well underway, with over 600 observations already in our region - and it’s only just lunch time on day 1! Come rain or shine, we are in it to retain our title for most observations in Europe 🏆
