Bronze Ground Beetle Deaths

I know the human mind likes to make connections, but the past month I've seen more dead/dying Carabus Nemoralis on this single street than I have the 5 years I've lived in Bellingham. Maybe it's just luck and confirmation bias, or it's the end of their life cycle, or there could be some sort of habitat or nest that just so happens to be there? I just think it's interesting that it's happened three times in a (relatively) short amount of time.

Yeah -- isn't it interesting when there are these population fluxes? Was it just a normal population boom, was it just the location, or what else could it be? Lots of fun questions to try to address. :)
