Bracket Fungi

My chosen observation is called the bracket fungus also known as polypore. These fungi can cause decay and rot in trees as they grow on the trunk of the tree which can eventually make it fall. Due to this, they are one of the main causes of economic issues in forestry. In addition, the bracket fungi's fruiting body is used as a microhabitat by many invertebrates and it impacts the biodiversity of these invertebrates.
