I have collected clearwing moths since the late 1960's. Today, I try to collect the rarest sesiid species in North America and supply various museums with the specimens. I need specimens of Vitacea cupressi, Carmenta subaerea, Carmenta odda, Alcathoe carolinensis and Synanthedon arkansasensis for DNA analysis if you encounter any of these species. I have collected the rare Synanthedon richardsi with the help of Gary Campbell in Coopersburg PA in 2020 and 2021. Latest References:
