I have a BA in biology with an emphasis on ecology. I am truly a generalist, who knows something about a lot of things, but don't consider myself an expert on anything. I taught middle school science for 30 years, where I broadened my knowledge beyond biology to the earth sciences. As a volunteer at Sugarloaf Ridge State Park, am finally returning to my "roots" as a naturalist: leading hikes, nature journaling, and spending equal time teaching and asking questions. When I'm not geeking out on nature, I'm kayaking, making music, gardening, and flying through the woods with my sled dogs.
