Howdy! Richard Mersereau here. Sacramento born and raised (LIVED on the American River and the Parkway growing up!), UC Davis grad (Go Aggies, Bossie Cow Cow!!), and currently live in Orangevale with my family. +25 year veteran of the California State Legislature, 15 as Director of the Office of Policy in the Assembly, also Chief Consultant to the Senate Constitutional Amendments Committee and Assembly Revenue and Taxation Committee. Since January 2015 I've been a Visiting Scholar at the Cal Poly Institute for Advanced Technology and Public Policy, working on the Digital Democracy project (check us out at www.digitaldemocracy.org) I'm a Leave No Trace Trainer and avid hiker/camper who is always looking to learn more, get out more, and give back more, so I'm looking forward to learning a great deal from the CA Naturalist program, and from all of you I meet along the journey.
