Always loved the outdoors. Grew up in the country where nature was my playground.

Graduated from Hocking College in '09 with a degree in Fish and Wildlife Conservation and Management.

Getting back into naturalism has really helped me slow down, look at things more closely, and see what I've been missing out on. All my old IDing skills are coming back to me the more I use this site, and I'm making plans and collecting gear to get back into doing regular field bio/naturalist studies for fun and finding new things.

I'm lucky that I live in SE Ohio, where I am so close to many City, State, and National Parks.

I love learning anything nature related and am always open to being corrected. My most recent education? Learning that there are no Black Rat Snakes in Ohio. I'd been misidentifying Grey Rat Snakes my whole life.
