I am a software engineer in the Des Moines, Iowa area.

I enjoy learning about local species identification, horticulture, and photography. I especially like exploring tiny things. It's been a lot of fun to discover tiny insects, spiders, fungi, and other organisms that I've been surrounded by but haven't really paid close attention to before. I am also into plants, especially succulents and other desert plants.
