Botanist, botany student. I am most interested in trends in plant (and plant-like organism) evolution and ecology, both in the present and over geologic time.
Very fond of conifers, pteridophytes, sedges, bryophytes, marine algaes and lichens. I am also very open to learning about animal taxa, including cetaceans, bears, sponges and insects.
Specific regions I am familiar with are Pacific northwest and California coast ranges, Sierra Nevada, Rocky Mountains, Mid-Atlantic east coast, and California central valley. Also fond of the sea!
