I'm an ecological research assistant at the Cary Institute for Ecosystem Studies and an MS in Environmental Policy student at Bard college. I'm a mostly self-taught naturalist and birder from the New York transplanted to Massachusetts and the Rockies and now back to my Hudson Valley Home. I have taught forest plant identification as a teaching and research assistant at Brandeis University and have done other work with the Mohonk Preserve, Massachusetts Audubon Society, and Standley Lake Regional Park.

My favorite taxa are birds, but I also love vascular plants, herps, and marine mammals. My work with ticks is bringing me closer to interest in arachnids and the rodent vectors of Lyme disease as well.
