I am a Biology student at Tarleton State University studying population dynamics of Crotalus horridus in north Texas, and have recently joined a state project studying detectability of Graptemys caglei on the Guadalupe River system I am also into insects, particularly wood-boring beetles (Cerambycidae & Buprestidae), and am piloting a study on the emerald ash borer and its relationship with the parasitoid wasp C fumipennis in Tarrant County, Texas through a grant provided by Texas Academy of Science. I currently maintain a collection of beetles that numbers 20,000 & growing. My first word was “bug” & I haven’t shut up about them since. I reside in the western crosstimbers region of north Texas with my wife & son, a few geriatric snakes & an antisocial cat

You learn from living. Everything else is a damn lie
-Rex Walls

The man who believes that the secrets of the world are forever hidden lives in mystery and fear. Superstition will drag him down. The rain will erode the deeds of his life. But that man who sets himself the task of singling out the thread of order on the tapestry will by the decision alone have taken charge of the world and it is only by such taking charge that he will effect a way to dictate the terms of his own fate.
