I am a fish biologist- working on DNA and taxonomy of coral reef fishes, focusing particularly on blennies and gobies. I worked mostly on larval recruitment and larval identifications, using mtDNA to identify larvae- my results revealed many undescribed species which I undertook to describe. In the last 10 years or so I have described probably 40 new species, including working with (the late) Jack Randall, who was the unparallelled lead fish taxonomist.
