I'm a UC-certified California Naturalist, a docent for Mount Diablo Interpretive Association (mdia.org) in Mount Diablo State Park, a 20,000 acre park in the San Francisco Bay Area. I'm on the board of MDIA and act as lead for one of its programs, the Peregrine Team in Pine Canyon, a natural history education group that monitors peregrines on and around Mount Diablo. I blog about natural history on two non-public sites for area naturalists. My passion is for interpretation, for spreading a contagion of curiosity about local natural history.
