I’m Jedda (she/her), currently a sophomore wildlife biology major at Lees-McRae College.
My favorite taxa are reptiles and amphibians, and I’ll never say no to go herping, no matter the weather. Squamates are my favorite, and I’m fairly knowledgeable when it comes to snakes. If you have a snake you want identified, no matter where it is in the world, tag me and I’ll identify it. If I can’t, I can contact a local expert if I know one for the area.
Besides herps, I’m interested and am currently learning about local birds, fish, insects (especially auchenorrhyncha), plants, and more.
If you are in the Avery/Watauga county area, and you want someone to go herping, birding, insect collecting, or just hiking with, send me a message through iNat and we can meet up.

Another thing, in a lot of my observations I am handling animals that I have found. All native, living animals I handle are returned unharmed to their original location.
