Here at the Evelyn Jackson Wild Life Garden, I am replacing collector's plants and invasive plants with natives chosen to provide food, shelter, and nesting opportunities. My goal is to provide useful information as a citizen scientist while supporting biodiversity and learning from others about our amazing planet. I am in suburban Raleigh, North Carolina, USA.

My beloved Aunt Evelyn Jackson made possible a major renovation, including two ponds, a stream, a bog, and a rain garden. She loved flowers and lived a wild life as a woman professional in advertising and television beginning in the 1950s. I hope this garden in her honor inspires people to consider Mary Oliver's question: "What is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?"
