I first became interested in native plants when I retired in 2002 and joined the Friends Of Shepherds Hill Recreation Park. I joined Trees For Life the same year and took on a bushcare site at Windy Point, Belair and later another one at Randell Reserve, Torrens Park. I found that I really enjoy plant identification and participate in lots of TFL group activities to visit other sites and thus encounter a wider range of both native species and weeds. Seed collection with the TFL Direct Seeding Team has also taken me to southern Yorke Peninsula, the Mallee and Riverland.
