This was my only really interesting find of the day. I heard the song, and managed to spot it high up in a tree branch.

Corvo (Corvus corax)Observador
lucasferrierDescrição
This was a really cool find for me because I can never tell the difference between a crow and a raven. In this case though, they were right next to each other, and I could see an obvious size difference between the birds. It was interesting to see the crows team up to take on the raven.

Saw a couple of these near the edge of the wooded area, moving about high up in the trees. I think I just saw a pair, and they moved past quite quickly.

Saw one robin sitting in some low branches, singing periodically. Sorry for the really bad photo, its definitely not enough to identify by, but I couldn't get a decent angle through the brush. You can see the orange of the breast right in the middle.

As always, there were tons of these guys in the area, moving in small groups. I estimated about 15, as I didn't know who was a repeat.

This one I was a bit unsure of. It looked a lot like a song sparrow, but seemed a lot smaller. Due to the mottling clot on the breast and the lack of strange positioning like wren, I thought the best option was a song sparrow.

This one I was a bit iffy on. I recorded the song, and it sounds similar to a song sparrow voice, but the introductory notes are a bit off. From looking at it though, this bird visually had all the characteristics of the song sparrow. It was the right size and color, and had the mottling as well as the tightly clustered mark on the chest. I tried to get a picture but the lighting was horrible.

Found 2 titmice in a farm field in some low, reedy shrubs. They were being very noisy, calling back and forth with their loud, incessant nasally call (I wasn't annoyed I just couldn't think of a better wording)

I was so excited to see these guys! There were 4 of them, 3 females and a male. The closest 2 females left as soon as I came anywhere near the water, and the others left shortly after too, despite being almost on the other side of the river. I wonder if this was a danger response, or just a coincidence.

These guys really like to use the tree outside my house as a perch to sing from, and there was one outside singing away right before I went out on the walk. I spotted another male in the woods, also singing but moved around a lot more.

There were lots of starlings out, so I have noted the largest group I saw together for long enough to count. There were likely some larger groups and a whole lot more individuals.
