Descrição

This is really Entoloma perzonatum and not E. translucidum. They are not synonyms according to sequence data.

E. perzonatum distinctly stripy and in turf and relatively small. E. translucidum less stripy, in forests and large.

And then there is also the similar E. pluteimorphum, and this is the real version of that ...

I am currently calling this R. perfluopanicea, although that may change. The species belongs in Phaeoclavulina. We have a number of similar species most easily differentiated by spore features.

Descrição

Originally described from Australia. We have a couple of closely related species and it is currently unclear whia (if either) are phylogentically the same as the Australian original. Note the vinescent bruising in this collection, which the closely related species does not do.

Descrição

Needs a combination in Phaeoclavulina. Described from Australia. In NZ similar to R. sclero-carnosa, R. polypus (sensu NZ), R. perfluopinicea, and the undescribed R. sp. 'Totara Reserve'. Like all Phaeoclavulinas in NZ it is associated with woody debris/litter. The species differ in spore size/ornamentation but macroscopically rather variable and similar.

Cap with distinct veil remnants around the edge. Hygrophanous. Stipe bruising yellow with age. Gill edge not red. Stipe base enlarged but without rhizoids or rooting. 4 spored. No pilocystidia or pleurocystidia. Spores length=11.3–14.7µm (µ=12.9, σ=0.85), width=6.5–7.6µm (µ=7.1, σ=0.34), Q=1.6–2.1µm (µ=1.83, σ=0.14), n=20. Nothing green in NH4OH. Section fragilissimae.

This is a recently described species close to C. marcesibilis, itself close to Psathyrella longipes (USA) which needs a combination in Coprinopsis.

Descrição

It seems this name is being used for at least two different species in NZ (PDD not iNat). One has pores that blue and is really a Cyanosporus closely related to C. caesius (the real version). The other does not blue and is more shaggy and is related to Postia pelliculosa, which also does not blue
