The Gletscherschlucht, or Glacier Gorge, is a dramatic slot canyon carved by the meltwaters of the Lower Grindelwald Glacier. The sign called the rock both "grey limestone" and "Grindelwald marble". It could be that some portions are metamorphosed and others not. Here the rock shows iron impregnation from iron-bearing groundwater that has seeped out at this spot. It seems to have attracted some sort of iron-loving lichen.

On my long-suffering husband's arm. This is coming up in iNat CV as Bibio, but none of the sp. suggested seem to have a significant fall flight. And a forward search did not reveal any fall-flying, black-legged Bibio IDed to species in Switzerland. It is small -- maybe 7–8 mm.
