Orchids are one of my favorite families of plants. They have such unique flower structure that can come in so many shapes and colors. Orchids can be difficult to find in the wild due to the need of all orchids for mycorrhizal interactions. Habitat destruction, competition with invasive introductions, and poaching are just a few of the threats posed to our native orchids. I hope to photograph as many of these species as I can in the wild and raise awareness about orchid conservation where I can.
