Oaxaca

Some observations and commentary from my recent trip to Oaxaca City and the central valley.

Locations include Hierve el Agua, Monte Alban, Mitla, and the Jadin Etnobotanico de Oaxaca.

Hierve el Agua
I hiked the steep trails that most tourists use to view the limestone formations, for the real treasure- herps! I spent a frustrating amount of time crouched on a rock trying to photograph adult Scleropus mating, but gave up since I didn't want to my family to worry while they soaked at the spring.

Monte Alban
We hired a guide, who was quite knowledgeable and helpful, but his ongoing machista commentary got kinda old for me, so I set out to mini-Bioblitz the site. Still need help with all these ID's.
