Week 7 Plants

I found these plants on the outskirts of a reservoir. It was fairly near my house. The species around this area are a fairly similar color. The specifies seem to be domestic to the land and not planted. The area biome would potentially be a woodland. The biome was park-like and disturbed.

Week 5 Natural Area

The location was a trail near my house. A lot of plants and trees live here. The habitat seems to be plain like. It's right next to a trail, so the area may be affected by human activity. Some of the geographic features is the fact that there's not a lot of variations of trees and plants. It consists of around 5-7 species but has a lot of them.

Week 4 Keyed Trees + Week 4 Natural Area

Where did you walk in the natural area? Can you describe it so that someone else could walk your path and find the plants you observed?
-I went to a little area outside my house that has native plants with a natural trail. The place doesn't have a marked location. The path is a long and narrow path that leads around my town. Along the way, you can notice different plants.

What are the landscape characteristics you walked through? Are there are a lot of shrubs, trees, lawn, wildflowers? Hilly or flat? Is there a body of water nearby? What direction does the slope face?
-The landscape was fairly flat because i was following a trail. The plants were overall scattered with no set formation. There are a lot of shrubs and trees, but more shrubs than trees. Doesn't have water near. There is no slope.

What plant communities do you think you were in?
-If I had to guess, it would be the Central Oak Woodland, but not entirely sure.

The steps to describe the trees are in the tree's description.

Street Tree Project

I went to Heather Farms in Walnut Creek. I saw an array of natural trees that were native to that specific environment.

Street Tree Project

If I had to choose one of the 5 plants to be toilet paper, it would be the Japanese Privet. Simply because it has the biggest leaf compared to the other 4 observations. Yes, I do think more street trees would make my environment more pleasant. It already has a lot of trees, so adding more would just add to the scenery. The pros to adding more street plants is that it would make the setting prettier. The con would be that youre adding a plant to an environment that its genetically unprepared for, it would probably cause the plant to die or adapt.

Edits: Oops forgot to add the pictures, sorry!
