A moribund specimen barely moving on deck chair. Temperature 8 deg C. Prince George, BC, Canada.
Tiny fly (I think) on the underside of a swamp milkweed leaf. It flew off shortly after these photos.
This big crane fly was outside my door flying around when I was coming into my apartment. I think the wall he’s on is cooler than others might be since it’s in a shady spot, given why he chose it. The crane fly wasn’t very active and flew around only when disturbed by movement but otherwise stayed still on its perch.
