I was surprised to see it on the wall (external) of the Herbarium building.
tick on lace monitor's neck, which I only noted when home processing the image
Scented Sundew (Drosera aberrans - formerly Drosera whittakeri subsp. aberrans) along the gas pipeline route through the Ingliston Section of Werribee State Park near Ballan, Victoria, Australia. Altitude: 399 m amsl. Photographed on 5 September 2011.
Two weeks earlier when I first saw these plants they were green and red and healthy, now - two weeks later, they were turning black and dying. I am not sure if this is a natural cycle or if it was a result of the environment of the area - being in a very open, exposed area.
Formerly known as Drosera whittakeri ssp aberans or Drosera whittakeri
