I heard it's better to guess and ask for forgiveness later. I thought it at least looked superficially similar to Mogulones crucifer, but I realized that doesn't have white up the sides of the thorax. Hopefully it's close or gets expert curation.
These psillid larvae are all over the bay leaf laurel in our back yard. The bush is abuzz with many kinds of bees, flies, and wasps, all feeding on the honeydew and larvae.
The larvae are covered with a white, wax-like substance.
What is the name of the little culprits (circled in blue) causing these Bay Leaf Laurel leaves to curl?? And how can we make them go away?!
