Aquatic plant in the channel of the Haw River.
Seems rather large for an alga, but then again the ocean Kelp can be enormous.
Purple crust on a fallen tree branch. This isn’t a color that I see in nature very often. I think it is a fungus, but I suppose it could be a lichen.
