ID? Small tiger-striped millipede
Identified as Paradoxosomatidae on Bowerbird by Ken Walker: "I asked Bob Mesibov if he could provide an ID and this was his reply: "Sure: new genus, new species (Polydesmida: Paradoxosomatidae). It's a mature male in a size class that doesn't fit any of the described NSW genera. I've collected things this small closer to the coast in NSW, but they don't have the transverse banding. If only this wasn't just an image, and the male had been collected and put in ANIC or AM...". Liz -- any chance you could collect a specimen for Bob? (:->!"

Identified as Macrosiagon on Bowerbird by Liz O'Donnell: "ID based on the unusual features of this beetle including wing exposed by "tailcoat" shape of the elytra, and the feathery (plumose) antennae. An ID confirm (and if possible species name) would be great given that most photos for this genus seem to be fairly elderly museum specimens."

Identified as Chenuala heliaspis on Bowerbird by Liz O'Donnell: "Classic "woolly bear" with pinkish fur, greyish dorsal line and a pair of dark red pencils behind the head with a pale spot between them. Large head with dark red face bisected by yellow stripe. Colouring is a good match for a late instar of Chenuala heliaspis, but it does measure around 6.5cm compared to the 5cm maximum caterpillar size given on the Butterfly House website."
