One of the last places we visited in South Africa in August was West Coast National Park, along the Atlantic coast north of Cape Town.
Along the way we stopped at a small reserve with a lot of beautiful wildflowers. This area is famous for its massive flower blooms in spring.
There were fewer birds than I had hoped, but I did find this amazing insect - it's some kind of weevil, but much bigger than any I've seen before.
